How to replace a newer package from dead repo with its older fedora version?

"yum downgrade libxcb"
or
"yum distro-sync"

Both assume that the newer libxcb really isn't offered in the fschwarz
repo anymore (or that you disable that repo), or else it would be pulled
in as an upgrade again next time you run yum update.
