Hi,

I suggest to do this simple check:
First, run:
$: dnf install switchdesk

Then run:
$: switchdesk

You will see a window titled:
"Desktop Switches"

With a list of three radio buttons for
"Available Desktops", which will probably have these items:

Gnome
KDE
System Defaults

Which is selected ?
According to the responses, it seems that there are high
chances that this is Gnome. You can then choose KDE if it
suits you better.
