Thunderbird is loading up my AdressBook

In Edit->Preferences->Composition->Addressing I found a box checked, 
that reads, "Automatically add outgoing e-mail addresses to my:  
Collected Addresses"

I unchecked the box, I would assume that would be what was giving me the 
problems.
