fedora on surface pro 3?

Hi,

I have been considering buying a tablet-like device for editing. Although I was originally looking at a Lenovo Yoga Pro 2/3, but given the reviews -- only positive being its hinges, etc -- I am now looking at a Surface Pro 3. It is imperative for me to use Linux (preferably Fedora or CentOs) because any other OS drives me batty. Searching around on DDG, I see some talk on Ubuntu 14.10 on the Surface Pro 3, but nothing on Fedora/RHEL/CentOS. Is there any resource for this, or will I be in uncharted territory?

One other issue I have a question on, is with regard to the use of the pen. My colleague tells me that he finds it irritating that when he uses the pen, unless he is extremely careful, his hand also makes marks on the editing. (He uses Windoze.) I was wondering if there is a way (in Linux at least) in the software being used to set up the pen to do the marking (which it was being used) and ignore the hand for the particular marking.

Many thanks and best wishes,
Ranjan
