um ... why are my wiki pages suddenly rendering "fi" in olde english?

  um ... possibly, but in my case, the two characters are not just
"connected", there's something wholly different. i've attached a tiny
screenshot where the text should read "Figure out/stuff". you can see
where the "ff" in "stuff" is completely different.
