Thank you. I've done this, and have found various hidden groups, and have
tried doing yum groupinstall <groupname>

Either a few packages get added, or mostly, the response is that all group
packages have been installed.

I've begun to look through /var/log/messages for the clue as to why none
of the GNOME desktops are properly loading/functioning. The list is very
long.

It begins in the following way:
Mar 2 11:06:20 MercToo systemd-logind: New session 2 of user pyz.
Mar 2 11:06:21 MercToo org.a11y.Bus: g_dbus_connection_real_closed:
Remote peer vanished with error: Underlying GIOStream returned 0 bytes on
an async read (g-io-error-quark, 0). Exiting.

GIOStream returned 0 bytes on an async read (g-io-error-quark, 0).
Exiting.
Mar 2 11:06:21 MercToo gdm: Child process 1012 was already dead.
Mar 2 11:06:21 MercToo gdm: Unable to kill session worker process
Mar 2 11:06:21 MercToo org.gtk.vfs.Daemon: A connection to the bus can't
be made
