Hi Christoph and Raphael, I found the problem. I don't know how but my ~/.config/xfce4/helpers.rc had this line; FileManager=custom-FileManager changing it to: FileManager=Thunar solved my issues. Thanks for helping me. :) -- Suvayu Open source is the future. It sets us free.
