I find editing menus in Xfce to be a pain in my precious tushie. And
we're talking about a tushie that is inured to being sat on and other
indignities.

The LXDE Main Menu editor sort of works, but is no where near as fully
featured as Alacarte. Worse, it is buggy and does unexpected things.

There is a text file with the menu settings, but editing it is also
problematic. You must figure out the syntax it uses to determine what
is a folder and what is an entry within a folder. And after you do that
you discover that sometimes the syntax doesn't work. Usually you have
to edit the menu files, but then again you have to figure out the syntax
they use. And good luck with that because there are two systems in use
side by side.

Xfce desperately needs a decent menu editor.
