The recommended way to set up MMR is
http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Directory_Server/8.2/html-single/Administration_Guide/index.html#Managing_Replication
If you are a perl hacker, you might be able to get mmr.pl to do what you
want - patches are welcome.
