if you have any spare "active involved maintainers" or "co-maintainers that do have more time", that's great and I'd be glad to leave the care about the packages to someone more responsible

but if you don't have them .. then "fire off a build and hope it works" seems to me still a better option than not having the software packaged at all :-/
