[fedora-india] Problem in opening few sites in firefox 3.5.8 (F12)

Hello all,
I'm using fedora 12 & firefox 3.5.8 . I'm having problem in opening sites
like
castrol.com, iitr.ac.in, wordpress.com, etcetra .
Firefox resolves the DNS but waits infinitely for the data to be
transferred.
Somebody on IRC (#fedora) told me to change the DNS, which i don't think is
a culprit. Nevertheless, i tried google public DNS, Norton DNS, open DNS as
well as my ISP's DNS.

The same problem was encountered with Ubuntu 9.04 but Mandriva '08 loads it
well.
Pinging can be done on the aforesaid sites, but as expected wget doesn't
work for any of those.
Your suggestions would be helpful.
