F18 RC2 erratic GUI in VBox, missing installer window

Something similar is also happening in KVM, FWIW.

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=852841 might be the earliest 
report, and suggests downgrading xorg can fix it. We should check if 
that fixes it for KVM and VBox too...
