Fedora Install on a Compaq ?

i believe you mean op, james tate.

tho i will make minimal comments on puppy linux and dsl. i tried both
on an ibm thinkpad t380ed.

i had too much trouble with puppy linux install, so i dumped it.

dsl installed and worked ok, but i only had 48 meg of ram, so it did not
run as well as i would have liked. when battery pack died a month later,
i put it away because it was too old to get such an expensive battery for.

both would be a better choice for op because current fedora is too 'heavy'
for such a 'weak' box. with hardware being as old as it is, he may have
problems getting drivers to work with compaq's unique chips.
