Good evening,

I'm happy to announce that we are now building Zarafa 7.0.8 on all active
secondary architectures (see: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Architectures)
of Fedora - aside of the regular primary ones - successfully, too:

ARM v5/v7 (both 32 bit)
=======================

ARM (Advanced RISC Machine) is a reduced instruction set computer (RISC)
instruction set architecture (ISA) developed by ARM Holdings. Fedora is at
the moment available for ARM v5 and v7 based devices (which are both 32 bit
architecture), means e.g. Versatile Express (QEMU), Trimslice, Beagleboard
xM, Pandaboard, Kirkwood Plugs, Highbank, iMX and Raspberry Pi. Some more
information: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Architectures/ARM/Fedora_17_GA.
You can download Zarafa 7.0.8 for ARM v5/v7 as follows:

PowerPC (32 and 64 bit)
=======================

PowerPC (Performance Optimization With Enhanced RISC Performance Computing,
sometimes abbreviated as PPC) is a RISC architecture created by the 1991
Apple-IBM-Motorola alliance. Fedora is at the moment available for 32 and
64 bit based PowerPC devices including e.g. Apple, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3
or IBM's cell-based blade servers. You can find more information regarding
this here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_17_PPC_release_notes. The
download of Zarafa 7.0.8 for 32/64 bit PowerPC is possible here:

Fedora 17: http://ppc.koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=87971
Rawhide: http://ppc.koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=88898

zSeries (31 and 64 bit)
=======================

IBM System z (also IBM eServer zSeries), is a brand name designated by IBM
to all its mainframe computers as of the year 2000. Before the rebranding,
the name System/390 was usually used. Hardware covers usually mainframes of
IBM system Z, models z9 or newer - so the really big physical hardware with
31 and 64 bit. At http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Architectures/s390x, more
information is available and the download of Zarafa 7.0.8 for 31/64 bit
zSeries can be done from the following addresses:

Fedora 16: http://s390.koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=116087
Fedora 17: http://s390.koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=116085
Rawhide: http://s390.koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=116086
Overview: http://s390.koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=10272

All information about CPU/hardware architectures are cheerfully borrowed
from Wikipedia or the Fedora Wiki. Please also follow up them for much more
and deeper technical information.

My personal plan is to provide also in the future updated builds of Zarafa
for these Fedora secondary architectures, however technical issues might
avoid that from time to time. Differently to already existing Zarafa builds
for e.g. ARM, the Fedora builds happen in a fully up-to-date environment by
using the same latest compiler and library versions as we do for years now
for standard Intel/AMD based hardware. Following the Open Source License of
Zarafa, a patch has been sent upstream in order to build Zarafa with a GCC
4.4.4 or later; see https://jira.zarafa.com/browse/ZCP-10192 for technical
information.

And if you should find bugs or issues, please fill a bug report in Red Hat
Bugzilla as described here:

  http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Zarafa#Bugs

Your feedback on these secondary architectures is very much appreciated!

Greetings,
  Robert
