Hi.
Several people asked me to update Cura to more recent version (2.3.x).
Cura went with a (complete?) rewrite, change of technologies and dependencies quite some time ago. Debian is already packaging the new version [0].
Because of update policies and Python 3 protobuf bindings needed, I'm talking only about Fedora 26 here.
Dependencies roadmap is described on Etherpad [1].
I don't have much time, so I'm not sure if I can make it alone til Fedora 26. I would appreciate some help.
All you need to do is to put your FAS username to the list of dependencies and then try to package that thing and report back here on the mailing list or/and in the Etherpad.
Thanks for any help.

Hi all.
Current status of "modern" Cura in Fedora:
* it is available in rawhide! * there's a (no longer experimental) Copr repo for F25 and F26 [1]
