That was the issue. 2.7 is giving 'class' errors and will fail the install.

Ah ok, the version of puppet in fedora is 2.6 which explains the
deprecation warning in the logs, still though, that seems to be
unrelated to the issue @ hand.
This is probably the cause. There is a whole laundry list of things
that behave differently between 2.6 and 2.7, most notably a change in
the autoloader which causes classes/defines to not be found in 2.7,
where they worked fine under 2.6.
