Feedback on i18n test cases
by Ani Peter
Few suggestions are listed down, which were found during the dry run of
the i18n test cases:
1. Each time after you do the testing, need to to come back to the test
day page and then scroll down to go the Result section
Suggestion: Provide the link for result page on each test case page and
also link each result page to the test case page.
ie. In the "Input (Overall) section, we have two test cases: QA:Testcase
i18n ibus input and QA:Gnome Input Method Integration IBus.
(i) Provide the link for the result page of Input (Overall) in these two
test cases' page so that from tester perspective navigating between test
case and result pages will be easier.
(ii) Also can provide these two test cases' pages link in the
Input(Overall) result page
2. QA:Testcase ibus input: Found the instructions bit confusing and
difficult to understand
3. Input (language-specific): Didnt find the command to run the typing
booster application.
Thanks

"Cancel" button missing in Screen shot application
by Ani Peter
Today I noticed that, the "Cancel" button is missing in the default
Screen shot application in Fedora19. Please see screen shot for the same
attached.
Can some one confirm this, so that bug can be filed for the same.
Thanks

wish list
by Noriko Mizumoto
Hi,
Through F19 L10N QA test, I found that more RAM is required for good
performance than F18. Giving 3gb RAM and 2cpu shows me good enough
performance, but it took time for me to notice this eventually. I kept
failing this guessing game many time till I reached correct(?) number.
Also it was not so smooth installation. Once installation completed and
clicked 'Finish' button, it was supposed to reboot automatically and
start firstboot. However it was not. I did manually reboots a couple of
times. Here what I got from my lesson.
1) For next test (F20 and later), could the test page include the
description of the requirement for installation? (e.g. minimum RAM and
CPU requirement)
2) Could we include to test the installation process self? Cz I am not
sure where the problem I encountered can be reported (e.g. fails to auto
reboot), but still this must be important in terms of usability.
What you think?

wish list
by Noriko Mizumoto
Hi
Through F19 test event, I noticed a couple place where may or may not be
improved for future tests. So let me try to ask the following wish list :-)
* Bug Template
One-click bug template link can save time. The template can contain FLTG
in CC which automatically post new bug when created to let all members
know. It also can be set tracker bug, keyword (Translation), etc default.
* Tracker bug
This allows us to track down which bug(s) is addressed and which is not,
and we can poke the maintainer if observing no move. Ideally all bugs to
be fixed by the deadline.
* Bug number(s) automatically be appeared in Comments column in the test
page when it is reported in each 'Provide Result' page
In this way, we can see all bugs at a glance without visiting each
result page. Those bugs can be copied to next version test page if those
are not fixed. Then when we see same bug remains not resolved at next
test, simply report it in that bug and reset the version, instead filing
new bug.
What you think?
cheers

Re: L10N Desktop testing day for Fedora 19 - 13/04/11
by Noriko Mizumoto
Hello,
In FUAs Application List, firstboot is blocked and unable to provide
result (probably this is a copy from previous release).
Could you please make it available?
Thanks
