Summary: Review Request: python-evdev - bindings for the linux
input handling subsystem

Reporter: georgi.t.valkov(a)gmail.com

SRPM URL:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/23916303/ee6phiYi/python-evdev-0.3.1-1.fc17.src.rpm
Description:
> Python-evdev provides bindings to the generic input event interface in
> Linux. The evdev interface serves the purpose of passing events
> generated in the kernel directly to userspace through character
> devices that are typically located in /dev/input/.
>
> Python-evdev also comes with bindings to uinput, the userspace input
> subsystem. Uinput allows userspace programs to create and handle input
> devices from which input events can be directly injected into the
> input subsystem.

I am the upstream maintainer of python-evdev. This is also one of my first
package review requests. I would be thankful to anyone willing to sponsor me.

Summary: Review Request: rigsofrods - Vehicle simulator based
on soft-body physics
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Component: Package Review
Severity: medium
Priority: medium
Reporter: pahan(a)hubbitus.info
Spec URL: http://hubbitus.info/rpm/Fedora17/rigsofrods/rigsofrods.spec
SRPM URL:
http://hubbitus.info/rpm/Fedora17/rigsofrods/rigsofrods-0.4.0.4-2.fc17.src.…
Description:
Rigs of Rods is an open source vehicle simulator licensed under the GNU General
Public License version 3. What makes Rigs of Rods different to most simulators
is its unique soft-body physics: vehicles, machines, objects, etc. are
simulated
in real-time as flexible soft-body objects, giving the simulation an extremely
accurate behavior which entirely depends on the physical construction of the
vehicles or objects you create.
Features
- Soft-body physics. Objects according to their weight distribution,
construction, and/or suspension (in the case of vehicles).
- Advanced flight model based on blade element theory. It allows the accurate
simulation of any airplane, based entirely on its physical dimensions and
wing airfoils, similar to X-Plane.
- Accurate buoyancy model based on elemental pressure gradients, enabling
boats
with complex hulls to move realistically in the swell.
- Basic support for dual-core processing. More multithreading and CUDA support
is planned.
- Basic support for scripting using AngelScript.
- Based on the OGRE Graphics Engine.

Please note it is not fully ready yet. Some dependencies follow.

As the SPEC file can build this gnome-shell-extension for F-15 and F-16, here
is the rpmlint outputs on F-15 files. I was unable to deal with rpmlint errors
with F-15 srpm file on a F-16 host (confusion about "dist" and "fedora" macros
I suppose). But to be complete, mock builds this package for F-15 and F-16
without any problems. I haven't tried with rawhide. Should I? This is my first
review for Fedora and my skill in such things is not complete.

I'm a newcomer in such things for Fedora and not very familiar with packaging,
but I'm volunteer for this package. I'll try to understand and to respect all
the documentation and guidelines available on the contributor's part of the
Fedora Web site, but any comments on the question are welcome. Last but not the
least, as a newcomer, I'm also seeking a sponsor.
Thanks in advance for your comments.
Cordially,

Description: Star Traders, a simple game of interstellar trading
Home page: http://www.zap.org.au/software/trader/
Star Traders is a simple game of interstellar trading, where the objective
is to create companies, buy and sell shares, borrow and repay money, in
order to become the wealthiest player (the winner).
---
I originally wrote Star Traders for the CP/M-80 operating system, back in 1990.
As an exercise in pure nostalgia, I have rewritten it for modern Linux/POSIX
systems and am packaging it for a number of distributions. The game has even
been translated into a number of languages, including Russian, French, German,
Finnish and Croatian!
I would like Fedora to include this simple text-console game as part of its
distribution.
