[Bug 1822398] New: Request for perl-Net-OpenSSH for EPEL8
by bugzilla@redhat.com
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1822398
Bug ID: 1822398
Summary: Request for perl-Net-OpenSSH for EPEL8
Product: Fedora EPEL
Version: epel8
Status: NEW
Component: perl-Net-OpenSSH
Assignee: steve.traylen(a)cern.ch
Reporter: dmaphy(a)fedoraproject.org
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: perl-devel(a)lists.fedoraproject.org,
steve.traylen(a)cern.ch
Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora
perl-Net-OpenSSH is not available on EPEL8 so far. It would be great to have it
there to be able to build the friendly automation framework Rex for EPEL8 as
well. This currently fails:
https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=43134675
The root.log states:
```
DEBUG util.py:600: No matching package to install:
'perl(Net::OpenSSH::ShellQuoter)'
```

Hello,
We are working on bringing multiple perl packages into a 'upstream' (EPEL)
which we use internally (at GoodData). This package is one of many which have
builds in Fedora Rawhide but lacks EPEL8 branch. We would like to request it
and help you to maintain the package (incl. Fedora Rawhide).
Please add us to a maintainer list for the package perl-Net-OpenSSH. Our FAS
usernames are:
- tjmc
- kubo
Thanks for the cooperation in advance!
