I wrote similar patches to improve Debian packaging in targetcli-fb as
well:
https://github.com/open-iscsi/targetcli-fb/pull/68
Did you have the opportunity to look at the changes?
I co-maintain the open-iscsi initiator in Debian together with Ritesh. I've recently
offered to also help with the LIO target, which is why Ritesh added me to Cc.
I'm nearly done reviewing the configshell packaging (only started just now because I
had other things to do that came up, sorry) and my general impression is really good; so
far I have only nitpicks. I'll send a full review this evening. I'll also take a
look at the targetcli-fb branch, but that might take me till tomorrow.
No idea if Ritesh will have additional comments, but I'm confident the packages are in
a good enough shape to be uploaded very, very soon.
If you are interested in also co-maintaining this in Debian in the long term, you could
already register for an alioth guest account so that Ritesh could add you to the group
once the packaging is imported there.
Thanks a lot for the work you put in,
and sorry for the long delay on my part,
Christian
