Turns out I have "localhost" entries for both IPv4 and IPv6 loops.

What is in /etc/hosts for localhost?
IPv6 loopback is ::1, not 127.0.0.1. In my /etc/hosts I have two
separate entries:
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
::1 localhost6.localdomain6 localhost6
