Greetings,
I'm running into some difficulty creating virt guests using virt-install from the F-12 fedora-virt repository [1]. It seems every attempt to create a guest results in the following failure (complete log available at http://pastie.org/811118).
# virt-install --name RATS --ram 768 --vcpus 1 --os-type linux --os-variant fedora13 --extra-args "vnc serial console=ttyS0 ksdevice=link ip=dhcp lang=en keymap=us stage2=http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/stage/rawhide-testing/i386/os/images/in... repo=http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/development/i386/os" --disk path=/var/lib/libvirt/images/RATS.img,size=8,sparse=false,bus=scsi --network network=default --accelerate --nographics --location http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/stage/rawhide-testing/i386/os
Starting install... Retrieving file .treeinfo... | 2.8 kB 00:00 ... Retrieving file vmlinuz... | 7.1 MB 00:02 ... Retrieving file initrd.img... | 57 MB 00:08 ... ERROR internal error unable to start guest: char device redirected to /dev/pts/5 Warning: vlan 0 with no nics qemu: could not load kernel '/var/lib/libvirt/boot/virtinst-vmlinuz.V7r0mj': Permission denied
The traceback seems similar to an already resolved issue in bugzilla (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=537221#c1). Should I reopen the reported issue, or does this look like something now?
Thanks, James
