[fedora-arm] Moving OS partition to Hard Drive

I am looking to build a production F21 server, running on a Cubieboard2
and 1TB HD. It will be offering Samba services plus other stuff. The
Cb2 has a Sata interface, and I want to the OS to run there.

I am assuming that I can leave /boot on the SD card, in fact I kind of
have to, or get it onto the NAND (which I have yet to figure out the
tools to do that).

I can mount the F21 SD card and the HD (in a USB enclosure) on my
notebook. What is a good way to move the / partition? I could use
parted to make the target partition and use dd, it would seem as there
is no reason to make the HD bootable.

Any better methods? tar? rsync? ???

thanks.

BTW, all my 'production' arm servers are currently running Redsleeve6,
but for this one, since we are so close to F21 shipping I am seriously
considering F21. EOL should get me out to when Centos7-arm is
available, or just run F21 past EOL for a couple years, as the box is
internal only (though things like the bash hack worry me about any
server running past os eol).
