As the elections wind down for another release I want to take a couple
of minutes to thank those who worked to make them happen.

Ankur Sinha who artfully handled all the work associated with the
questionnaires. Thank you.

Jared Smith, Kevin Fenzi, Matt Domsch, Jon Stanley, and Sarah White
for moderating townhalls. We were really lucky to have these five
people volunteer to moderate townhalls this election. They did a
superb job, each and every one of them. Thank you.

Robyn Bergeron who helped with scheduling and handled important
announcements. Scheduling is one of those unseen activities that can
easily go unnoticed by the community as it happens months before the
election begins but is critical to having a smooth election. Thank
you.

Toshio Kuratomi for handling the voting infrastructure - that always
goes smoothly. Thank you.

20 candidates! Elections don't happen without candidates. Every time
we have an election I think about how much time we ask candidates to
spend on the process. Deciding to run, thoughtfully answering a bunch
of questions in writing, making time available to attend townhalls
where they are put on the spot. I think we ask too much. But here they
come despite the obstacles volunteering to help throughout the coming
releases. Thank you all.

Did you attend a townhall or ask a question on the questionnaire?
Thank you too. Those only have value when Fedora contributors like you
participate in the process.

I'd also like to thank those who have sent me public or private
feedback. Perhaps we'll set aside some time later after the election
is finished to have a public retrospective and to get more feedback
about how elections are organized.

John
