There are a few known problems with this board, but it should be possible

SATA is not officially supported in that tree, though the test kernel had
libata merged, it is not in the same version of the 2135 kernel.

That is an errata kernel, and not in the install tree.

The /fc1_x86_64/preview tree should work for you with a standard IDE disk.  
DO NOT try to use the jmforbes tree, it is incomplete at this time, and
being used as staging for some things.  Specifically, the rpmdb package is
wrong, and can cause issues.
