Yes, I just said that I observed a failure that seemed unrelated to
libtiff.

What I'm seeing looks like something in pthreads changed:
Linking CXX executable ../../bin/osgversion
cd /builddir/build/BUILD/OpenSceneGraph-3.0.1/BUILD/applications/osgversion && /usr/bin/cmake -E cmake_link_script CMakeFiles/application_osgversion.dir/link.txt --verbose=1
/usr/lib64/ccache/c++ -O2 -g -pipe -Wall -Wp,-D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -fexceptions -fstack-protector --param=ssp-buffer-size=4 -m64 -mtune=generic -Wparentheses -Wno-long-long -Wno-import -pedantic -Wreturn-type -Wmissing-braces -Wunknown-pragmas -Wunused -fpermissive -Wl,-z,relro CMakeFiles/application_osgversion.dir/osgversion.o -o ../../bin/osgversion -rdynamic ../../lib/libOpenThreads.so.2.6.0 ../../lib/libosg.so.3.0.1 ../../lib/libosgDB.so.3.0.1 ../../lib/libosgUtil.so.3.0.1 ../../lib/libosg.so.3.0.1 ../../lib/libOpenThreads.so.2.6.0 -lm -lrt -ldl -lz -lGL -Wl,-rpath,/builddir/build/BUILD/OpenSceneGraph-3.0.1/BUILD/lib:
/usr/bin/ld: ../../lib/libOpenThreads.so.2.6.0: undefined reference to symbol 'pthread_cancel@@GLIBC_2.2.5'
/usr/bin/ld: note: 'pthread_cancel@@GLIBC_2.2.5' is defined in DSO /lib64/libpthread.so.0 so try adding it to the linker command line
/lib64/libpthread.so.0: could not read symbols: Invalid operation
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
If you are expecting this app to use pthreads then -lpthread would seem
to be indicated.
