Actually a bug in the configure script of the package :)

   You are passing down the LDFLAGS (aka %{__global_ldflags})
> from redhat-rpm-config, but not CFLAGS/CXXFLAGS (aka %{optflags} or $RPM_OPT_FLAGS).
