KMail/Dovecot creating mail folder

Thanks for trying to help.
As I mentioned, I have no problem with Evolution -
I can see (and open) the "Spam" folder.
I remain baffled.
I'm going to see if it is possible to give direct dovecot commands 
to open another folder.
