Late last year, Spot, Paul F. and I met with 'Brisbane Marketing' [1] to
discuss a Fudcon in Brisbane. At the time they said that if we think we can
get >100 attendees then they would be able to assist with logistics and
potentially help us seek some funding from the Brisbane City Council.
We do a lot of work with one of the local universities (QUT) and they
expressed interest in providing a venue and potentially some minor funding.
