F10 kde logout problems

I was hoping to not do this just because I would lose all my settings for 
kmail and akregator and the like.

The second user account was just setup to see if the problem was a local one 
or a more global one.  Since it works fine in the new account it seems to be 
only a local problem to the one user.  I was hoping to find one or two local 
files that I could delete and not the whole .kde folder.  Any suggestions?
