Does the header in question also #include <pthread.h> ?

Normally you can use a tool called 'mock' for this (yum install mock).
However, mingw-winpthreads is currently not in the Fedora repositories
yet. Therefore some additional tricks are needed for now. I suggest we
continue about this subject on #fedora-mingw
