Modem - G4 Powermac - issues

Hi All

Does Fedora PPC have support for PowerPC modems at the moment?

When i attempt to use the Internet Wizard or wvdial I get errors '-->
Cannot open /dev/ttyS0: Input/output error' (see wvdial log below)

also Kudzu doesnt pick up any modems (See kudzu log below)

In the old days :) when i was using gentoo ppc to get modems working
you had to compile 'macserial' into the kernel and modpobe macserial
to get it working if you had any issues, has macserial been
depreciated as I cant find it when i attempt to recompile the fedora
or cent kernel?

ive tried
http://www.yellowdoglinux.com/support/solutions/ydl_4.0/dialup.shtml
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Modem-HOWTO.html
and more but have had no luck

http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=52183

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get modems working?

Bit of a spastic question but do PowerMacs use HCF modems, if so is
just using the Linuxant drivers the easiest solution?

Below is some more detailed logs and info about my system

Thanks
