I have to be honest, I'm more than a little surprised by this. It
seemed to me that all of your suggestions were being listened to and
discussed respectfully.

I would honestly prefer not to lose you from the group. You've been
consistently providing good ideas for discussion. While ultimately we
may not all agree that they are the right choice for the immediate
future, I haven't really seen any of your proposals that were
dismissed out of hand.

I'm not sure that our long-term goals disagree in any meaningful way,
but I suspect that the disconnect here is that you are looking for a
larger change in a shorter time period than the rest of us generally
feel we could soak up.

It sounds to me like your complete goal here really amounts to
developing an entirely new Linux-based operating system under the
Fedora brand. Whereas others in the group (I hesitate even to claim a
majority without calling any sort of vote) are looking at incremental
changes to minimize the work in each individual cycle but with a clear
direction aimed at a more comprehensive server solution.

It seems to me that there is an opportunity for your long-term vision
to be brought to fruition through this process, but perhaps on a
longer timeline than you would hope.

In any case, it is of course your own decision to withdraw from your
voting seat. If you feel that this is the right choice for you, I will
understand and respect it, but I would hope that you will not withdraw
from our burgeoning community entirely. You have a lot to add and I
can guarantee that your suggestions will continue to be heard.
