/dev/usb/lp0 fails to open

This is probably https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=180325
Try:
mkdir /dev/usb
ln -s /dev/lp0 /dev/usb/lp0
service cups restart
If this "fixes" it (until the next reboot), then you are seeing #180325.
