Hi.

When running any of the 2.6.29-rc kernels, the Broadcom NIC on my Dell XPS1330
laptop (tg3.ko module) fails to detect the network link under some conditions.
It works fine only in the following scenarios (using an ethernet straight
through cable):
- when connected to another computer
- when connected to the uplink port in a hub/switch
but fails to detect the ethernet link otherwise. That is, all lights in the
NIC are off, no "Link is up..." message appears in dmesg and ethtool prints
"Link detected: no".
