Fedora Musicians' Guide 翻译的一些问题

翻译《Fedora Musicians' Guide》时，遇到了以下几个问题和大家讨论下：
1.Locate the volume level meters on the toolbar, to the right of the
transport controls.
这里的transport controls应该是指音频播放暂停等那些控制按钮，是直接翻成
“传输控制”好呢，还是意译成“播放控制”?大家有木有什么好的想法？
2.Click on the arrow next to the microphone to open the input meter's
pop-up menu.
input meter's pop-up有点不好翻，但我知道它指的是这个：

就是麦克风图标旁的下拉菜单，求教怎么翻比较好。。
3.引号和专有名词的翻译的问题：
Audacity has a simple user interface, it is easy to use, and it has many
advanced capabilities.
我看gnome翻译标准要求不翻译的专有英文词两边要加半角空格，比如这个
Audacity的两边要加半角空格。求问这个要求在咱的项目中是强制 要求的吗？

Open the "Preferences" window. Choose <guimenu>File</guimenu> &gt;
<guimenuitem>Preferences</guimenuitem>.
翻译成 “首选项” 合适吗？还是保留原"Preferences"？
