One more reason to again consider ngettextizing the counter banner, as
I have suggested at least once before ;) [1]

Seriously, should be relatively easy, e.g.:

ngettextized Python/sh script calculating the date difference -> sed
the SVG source -> convert to PNG

Rinse, lather, repeat every day ;)
