I got it to work on a clean install of a garbage computer I have lying
around and this was the same method I got it to work on my running FC2
installation.

Download the firefox binaries from the mozilla website.
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/0.8/firefox-0.8-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz

then unpack that so the firefox directory is in home.

then make a launcher (right click on desktop)

run firefox. this should get you up and going with no problems.

sorry if the description sounds pedantic.

also, same method with thunderbird, but if you are porting a proifile
from another installation and you used a cd to transport it, make sure
you chmod the default directory to 755! this is important.

thats about all I have.

yeah- the rps should be optimized for fc2, but the mozill binaries are
working on my install so presumably they would work on yours as well.
