fdisk/dh -f do not show the SanDisk sdc of and SD reader

Hmm, well try rebooting, and then plug in the card reader with the SD card attached, and then run:

journalctl -b -o short-monotonic > journal.txt
lspci -vvnn > lspci.txt

And post on pastebin.com, or some such, and then report the URLs here.

In the meantime you might also check into borrowing another SD card reader and/or card and see if that changes the situation.
