Thanks for the help and you aren't being harsh, just a little short :-). I'm not sure I fully subscribe to the attitude that the *only* correct place to ask my question is RPM fusion's mailing list. Yes, I got the akmod from their repository, but my issue isn't with any akmod in particular, but the reliability of the standard akmod system.

Thanks for the direction though. I will post on RPM Fusion and see what comes of it.
