OT: Thunderbird spontaneously unsubscribing folders.

First off, nppdf.so is part of the Adobe Reader package.  Sounds as if that isn't installed properly on your system.

What is the output of.....

ldd -v /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/nppdf.so
