Importing mail archive into Thuderbird

In that case, you will not be able to use that file as a mail folder
in thunderbird, nor will you
be able to use thunderbird to extract the messages from it into some
other folder.
It's format is very different to the format of mailfolders used (and
created) by thunderbird.
