This vendor specifies devices very clearly, 
even devices per se have specific names. :)

e.g.

- BC-12B1ST
  Writing Mode: DVD+R ...
  "BC" == "Blu-ray Combo"
  "Combo" == "Reader"

- BW-12B1ST
  Writing Mode: BD-RE ...
  "BW" == "Blu-ray Writer"
