I have nothing against VLC but if you just want to play videos a good
alternative is mpv.

Not in the official repos, and appears to have been discontinued
(according to Wikipedia).

Are there any free audio players that can read from the cloud (I'm
think Google Play Music, Amazon Music etc.)?
