Yes, the inconsistency is because there are not separate spin
netinstalls. (And I'm not advocating creating them, since it's a
marginal value at best.)

There was a technical reason for the change, which was to make sure
that Boxes works well for guest VM installation. However, the WG
wanted to avoid diverting users to a netinstall "choose your own
adventure" experience. The Websites team came up with a good solution
here, I think.

I think you and I are in violent agreement. :-) In any case, I think
Mo's solution might make sense.
