(replying to Ambassadors as well) Because Fedora is composed and distributed by Red Hat, Inc (a United States company), it is subject to United States export laws. Our Export Policy is a direct result of that. While many of us in the Fedora project share your concerns about US export laws, and the restrictions that they place upon our community, this does not change the fact that we are bound by them (and the penalties for violating them are non-trivial). We hope that at some point in the future, these laws will change in a way which permits the widest possible use and involvement of Fedora around the world, and should that occur, we will update our Export Policy accordingly. Freedom 0, the 4 fs and Fedora Export Compliance !!!

Dear all ambassadors Am posting regarding "Fedora Export Compliance " document, in the legal section, on the fedoraproject wiki. I think the conditions an prohbitions in that document contradict the free software philosophy and more importantly "freedom" fedora's four fs ! Dont you think we just lost one F because of some phrases over there, and we really lost the difnition of fedora as free software because and i quote " The freedom to run the program as you wish, for any purpose (freedom 0). " Dear ambassadors i think those restrictions and prohibitions should be removed, of we still want to call fedora free software Eager to hear you thoughts Best reagrds
