= Badge Metadata =
* **Name**: Validation Robot {I,II,III}
* **Description**: You completed your {first,fifth,twenty-fifth} release
validation test!
= Badge background =
1. **Activities badge awarded for**: Completing
[
https://fedoramagazine.org/release-validation-testing-fedora/ release
validation tests] and submitting results
2. **Who does this**: Members of the Fedora QA team or interested
volunteers who are becoming more involved with QA
3. **Why do this**: Helps run targeted test cases on various hardware,
machines, and other platforms to ensure Fedora runs well in an upcoming
release
4. **When do this**: I believe every release during the alpha / beta
phases.
5. **How do they do them**: Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but test
cases are run manually, results uploaded manually, so the badge would be
awarded manually.
= Artwork concepts =
1. '''Validation Robot''': My name suggestion above was a
suggestion, but
I was thinking since test cases are well-defined ordered lists of tasks to
run, some kind of methodical / robotic visualization would make sense.
This could recycle artwork from the Robotics SIG badge, or we could try
making a robo-panda/badger… if someone wanted a challenge…
2. **Gears/sprockets**: Series of gears and sprockets surrounding the
number of test cases successfully completed
