I haven't been playing too much attention to this SIG recently, but I put a spec and sources on github for zookeeper, including the server and bindings, that will provide a good jumping-off point. https://github.com/skottler/zookeeper-rpms

Server subpackage for ZooKeeper

We already have packages.. and apparently the community is already providing feedback, so the BZ is around mod-ing the package.

Right, I was just pointing out that most of the work is already done for getting the package(s) into the state laid out in that BZ.
