Concerning "Fedora Classroom - Firewall Basics - Kevin Fenzi -
Sunday, November 9, 2008"
Please where to find contact information of the presenter to drop in
a mail for the question:
That would be me. ;)
I understood what was said in IRC Fedora-Classroom but, why the lines
below are repeated in the file /etc/sysconfig/iptables generated by
KDE system-config-firewall?
-A INPUT -m state --state NEW -m udp -p udp --dport 137 -j ACCEPT
-A INPUT -m state --state NEW -m udp -p udp --dport 138 -j ACCEPT
Is it the case of Manual customization?
That would seem like a bug to me. The only reason you would ever want
to duplicate lines like that is if they were in different chains and
being called at different times or in a different order.
Ps. By the way, do you think it is a good sugestion to have a
classroom about "Samba on Fedora 11"?
Absolutely. We just need someone who knows the subject to sign up to
teach on it.
Thanks,
kevin
