Hi, I see Neovim 0.5 stable has come to Fedora 34. Is it possible it
could be released for EPEL8? Thanks.
At the moment there is only a very old version:
```
Available Packages
Name : neovim
Version : 0.3.8
Release : 1.el8.1
Architecture : x86_64
Size : 5.1 M
Source : neovim-0.3.8-1.el8.1.src.rpm
Repository : epel
Summary : Vim-fork focused on extensibility and agility
URL :
http://neovim.io
License : ASL 2.0
Description : Neovim is a refactor - and sometimes redactor - in the tradition of
: Vim, which itself derives from Stevie. It is not a rewrite, but a
: continuation and extension of Vim. Many rewrites, clones, emulators
: and imitators exist; some are very clever, but none are Vim. Neovim
: strives to be a superset of Vim, notwithstanding some intentionally
: removed misfeatures; excepting those few and carefully-considered
: excisions, Neovim is Vim. It is built for users who want the good
: parts of Vim, without compromise, and more.
Yep, that's on my todo list. I did the EPEL8 build back when Fedora was
on 0.4.x ... and was stuck on 0.3.8 because some of the dependencies
(that are in RHEL/CentOS proper) were too out of date.
I think libuv was one of them, and it's been updated for RHEL 8.4 after
I requested it, so I'll see if I can do an update later this week. Busy
wrapping up at work until then.
Cheers,
